Well
Logs and Strip Charts Stored on Microfilm
The
most common film formats for storing Well
Log and Strip Chart information on microfilm
are 4" x 6" fiche, 16mm roll
film, and cartridge roll film (16mm roll
film in a protective case). |
 |
You
can choose combination carriers that work
with all of your film types without having
to be removed from the unit when changing
film types; the ideal film carrier for
public use applications. |

Using
the ScanPro 35 to Scan Microfilm Images Too
Large to Fit on the Scanner Viewing Screen...
The
lowest magnification lens available for the
low cost ScanPro35 microfilm scanner is 12X.
If you have large size images on your microfilm,
they may not fit on the view screen making it
necessary to move the film carrier to see the
entire image. With the ScanPro35 you can scan
these separate views and have the Auto ImageAssembler
automatically put them together into a seamless
single image. The step-by-step instructions
are shown right on the PC monitor making it
easy and convenient to scan microfilm.

Engineering
Size Images Stored on Microfilm
The
most common film formats for storing
engineering size images and newspapers
on microfilm are aperture cards and
35mm roll film. This example shows
a large image that is too TALL to
fit on the VIEW SCREEN and will require
two scans to cover entire microfilm
image. The Auto ImageAssembler software
will automatically combine those scans
into a single final image. |
 |
If
you have only one film type, you can
choose just a fiche/aperture card
carrier or just a 35mm roll film carrier.
If you have multiple film types, you
may want to consider a combination
carrier. |
