ScanPro®: A Valuable Resource in Our Library

At PennWest, the ScanPro has become an indispensable part of our library. Recently, we upgraded to the ScanPro 2500 after many years of reliable use with our previous machine. The ScanPro has been instrumental in helping so many people in our library and beyond!

Whether it's individuals researching their family history through genealogy, students seeking sources for their research papers, or alumni reminiscing about their time at the University, the ScanPro is there to assist. It's not just the people who benefit from it; the library also utilizes it to preserve and share the history of our University. We’ve been able to scan and upload important documents online for everyone to access, creating a digital archive for future generations.

A recent example of the ScanPro's impact was when we were contacted by a campus organization planning a reunion. The organizers asked for help in accessing historical photos and memorabilia from their past. With the help of our ScanPro, our library staff was able to provide them with priceless photos of their members throughout the years.

As we move forward with our updated ScanPro 2500, we’re excited about the ability to help even more people reconnect to their past and preserve our shared history. We’re proud to have such a reliable tool that helps our community celebrate and honor their personal histories.
