Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2024

Welcome to e-ImageData ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you visit our website ( (the "Site"), use our online store (the "Store") and utilize our ScanPro® application ("ScanPro®App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect various types of information in connection with the services we provide, including:

  • Personal Information: This includes any information that can be used to identify you personally, such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment information, and any other information you provide us when you create an account, make a purchase, or contact us.
  • Non-Personal Information: This includes information that cannot be used to identify you personally, such as browsing behavior, search queries, and interactions with advertisements.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of our Site and Store.
  • ScanPro® App User Information:
    • Users Scanned Images: We are aware of the potentially private and confidential content in your scanned images. Our ScanPro software will only store your scanned image files to locations that you have designated in the “Setup”.
    • “Scan To Google Drive”: Our ScanPro software, when running on a PC connected to the internet, has the ability to transfer scans (image files) to your Google Drive. Our software uses the Google Drive API to perform the file transfer. We rely on Google Drive's least privileged API role, which provides us with limited access to your Google Drive. With this method, we do not have access to your Google credentials or data originating from outside the ScanPro application. Our ScanPro software transfers only image files (that you scanned) to your Google Drive folder (upload only). This connection to your Google Drive is temporary and will disconnect upon exiting the ScanPro software. You can also manually disconnect from your Google Drive account by exiting the “Scan to Google Drive” feature. Should our policy change with regard to these image storing features, our software update will notify you that changes have been made and direct you to the updated privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

  • To process and fulfill your orders, including sending you emails to confirm your order status and shipment.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To improve our Site, Store, and customer service.
  • To send you promotional materials and newsletters, where you have agreed to this.
  • To analyze the usage of our Site and Store and improve our marketing efforts.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, shipping, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, and customer service.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring company.

4. How We Protect Your Information

We use strong security measures to protect your personal data from loss, unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. Only those with a business need can access your data, and they must follow our confidentiality requirements.

In case of a data breach, we have protocols to respond and will notify you and regulators as required by law.

Your information is stored on secure servers with firewalls, and payment transactions are processed by secure third-party providers like Stripe.

The security of your information also relies on you. Keep your password confidential and be cautious about sharing information in public areas of our Site.

5. Your Choices

  • Account Information: You can update or correct your account information by logging into your account or contacting us directly.
  • Marketing Communications: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails or by contacting us.
  • Cookies: Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of our Site and Store.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our Site.
